About Me

Interests

I have never been one to settle down on one niche interest, but rather have a wide variety of passions due to my curious nature. However, reading and writing have always been my favorite subject because of the originality and creativity that comes with each piece of work. I spent most of high school focused on journalism and was the Editor-in-Chief for my school newspaper. This class allowed me to write my own human interests stories and create center spreads, as well as edit and guide other students in their writing and design process. I also have an interest in how people think, so I plan to take several psychology courses in my time at UNC. I thoroughly enjoy helping others and am eager to see where that takes me in the future.

Classes

So far in my first semester, I was able to take one Media and Journalism (MEJO) class. MEJO 121 is a digital storytelling class in which I learned how to convey a well-thought out story through different mediums. I had the opportunity to become familiar with making videos on Adobe Premier Pro, photo editing on Adobe Photoshop, creating websites on WordPress, and coding HTML on Visual Studio Code. Through my various assignments, I also gained interview experience in shooting my videos. This course taught me to think out of the box when facing technical challenges and made me even more excited to take more MEJO classes in the future.
